Pulau
Tioman Trip (3 June 2016 – 6 June 2016)
Day 1 (3
June 2016)
Had a good
start with Kwee Yap and I waking up early to attend xun fa xiang at 5.20am. Around 8am we hit the road and stopped for
breakfast at Restoran Yi Poh at Seremban.
After that stopped by Pedas to see mother. She had a good time watching tv with her
sister. Later we drove to have lunch at
Kluang Rail Station where business was brisk.
We had to
wait around 30 min at Mersing before the ferry departed for Pulau Tioman as the
current was strong due to rain. We
stopped at Tekek which is the 3rd stop. By the time we reached Swiss Tioman Cottage the
sky was already dark. Swiss Tioman’s
beach is clean probably as it is near to Berjaya Tioman. We
walked to Chinese Restaurant nearby for simple dinner. Boys packed some burgers for supper. There are a few convenient stores
nearby. Basically this place is quite
convenient with 2 restaurants and convenient stores within walking distance to
choose from.
Day 2 (4
June 2016)
Coral
Island Trip
It was
quite a worthwhile trip as the guide brought us to numerous snorkeling
spots. We first stopped at Paradise
Shelter where they learnt to snorkel.
The sea was clear but there is no coral at sight. Later we stopped by Coral Island where there
are numerous colorful fishes. Ern Tong was
in sea most of the time with Kwee Yap.
The boys were unexpectedly not as active as the girl. I was in the boat feeding the fishes around
with bread.
We had lunch at Kg Salang and as we were all hungry and tired, we just hopped to the first restaurant sighted. The foods served were mostly fusion and quite nice. After lunch we went to Marine Park and Renggis Island. After almost a full day snorkeling, we went back to take a bath and had a stroll to jetty. 2nd night, we had BBQ. Fortunately there are vege dishes available for me to feast on.
Day 3 (5 June 2016)
We toured
the island to visit the waterfall and Kg Juara.
Kg Juara is apparently the origin of Pulau Tioman. There are abundance of fishes here and we had
light snacks.
We had
lunch at a quaint open restaurant “Cabana”.
It was a laid back place with few hammocks around. At night, we went to catch sunset while
having dinner nearby jetty. What a sight
though it was almost dark by the time we reached.
