19 March 2010 A day at Genting Outdoor Theme Park
Kids and Kwee Yap woke up at 8.30am. The night before, reminded kids not to set the alarm to avoid them waking up too early when parents were not ready.
Headed to Market to get new pair of shoes for both boys and to have a sumptuous meal of wan tan mee. Reached Genting around 11am. Bought Outdoor Theme Park family package tickets. The first ride was bumper boat. After more than an hour Q, it's our turns. Both boys really enjoyed the rides. I had some problems with the boat, hihi was worried Ye may not be able to control the boat but end up he seemed more at ease than me.
After 6-7 minutes ride, we went for the 2nd ride. It was the Dragon ride, challenging enough … for me. Since cyclone was under maintenance, we tried out junior bumper car. Sean has slightly exceeded the maximum height but fortunately the assistant gave in and allowed him a rode. Ye barely reached the maximum height. I reckon by our next visit, both boys should not be eligible for the rides. Meanwhile Kwee Yap lined up for his go-kart ride. After 2 rounds of Junior Bumper cars, we decided to try something else.
After a walk around Dino park , we proceeded to space ride. Not really exciting, but we did not q too long.By then, Kwee Yap was still waiting for his turn at Go-Kart, so Ye tried out his Rodeo Ride. After that we went for Cup . Kwee Yap did not join us and I sat alone in the cup. Both boys had a dizzy ride as they kept turning the cup….that’s the reason why I did not join them in same cup. Haha, they were so happy. By then Cyclone was available so we Q. Most rides took us average 1 hour but the kids were not disheartened though towards the end they seemed tired. To me, Cyclone was the ride of the day.
We had Marry Brown for lunch. Probably due to cold weather we all tucked in to our meals heartily. Weather for whole day was great, cooling yet not too misty.
Last ride for the day was Spinner. I dare not try it. After the ride, Kwee Yap and Sean felt a bit dizzy. We did not expect Ye to enjoy it that much but he did. Haha, probably next few years , both boys could attempt the nerve wrecking rides leaving the parents and sister with other less challenging one.
Went back for dinner and kids went for their art class that night. Hope to bring Tong our next visit.
