Day 1 – 30 December 2009
I went to market in the morning while Kwee Yap went with 2 boys to SJKC to buy school uniforms. Later, we left home at 12.45 noon to fetch mum for a Japanese Buffet at Tenji, Solaris Mont Kiara. It was our first trip there. Kids enjoyed their meals though Sean did not really eat much. As Kwee yap is still recovering from his fever, he also did not eat much. Its mum 2nd visit, she visited the joint with Tse Chew before. There are wide spread of food, unfortunately there is no free flow of Unagi which happened to be our favourite. I enjoyed the fragrant coconut drink. I had 4 coconuts. Ern Ye’s favourite drink is orange juice and favourite food is sushi, Sean’s favourite food is Chinese tofu whilst Kwee Yap most memorable foods are the century egg with preserved ginger. Kwee Yap favourite drink is pineapple juice.
We took our time with the buffet and finished eating at around 3 noon. Last call was at 3.20 noon. We walked around briefly at Solaris before dropping mum at Tse Chew’s place and proceeded to pick up Tong Tong at babysitter’s place. She looked very cute wearing a newly knitted dress. We checked in at Ascott KL at around 4 pm, there were a few people checking in as well. The Christmas decoration was still on. The 2 room apartment is smaller than the one we booked in 2007. Nevertheless, the place is till comfortable and cosy. Kids were so excited , even Tong Tong was shouting excitedly. Kids took their bath and Tong had her porridge. Later we went out for dinner at KLCC’s food court. Kwee Yap had Taiwanese beef noodle, Sean’s chosed wan tan mee, Ye had 1901 hot dog and I had soup noodle. The food was ok but kids were not full, hence we proceeded to Sun Moulin for extra food. There was no water fountain show that night as KLCC staff was busy testing the sound system for the next night New Year showdown.
Took some photos at Ascott KL before retiring back to our unit. Tong and I enjoyed our bath at the big tub. Kids watched Tom and Jerry while enjoying their bread. We all slept early as Ern Ye needed to go to school the next morning.
